Rising Seven Times

"For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." (Proverbs 24:16, KJV)

The distinction between the righteous and the ungodly is not that the righteous never fall. The distinction lies entirely in what happens after impact. The world views failure as an identity, an indictment that stamps a person as permanently inadequate. The Kingdom of God views failure as an educational event—a recalibration point designed to strip away presumption and deepen dependence on grace.

Falling is an event; remaining down is a decision. When you experience a setback in your endeavors, do not internalize condemnation. The righteous man gets back up, brushes the dust off his garments, analyzes the breakdown with sober discernment, and moves forward with greater wisdom and humility. Your stumble is not your cemetery; it is your classroom.
